Первый смех про Борланда уже прошел, но вот над этими словами Мэнсона я ржу до сих пор:
We have a new guitar player that plays for the first time tomorrow, its the first time we play on stage, his name is Wes Borland and he used to be in a really terrible band that he left because he felt that it was a destructive force in art, he has his own band Blacklight Burns, but now he is in Marilyn Manson, we don’t know how permanent that is, but starting tomorrow will be the first step. So this will be the most indestructible Marilyn Manson.

We just pushed a few small updates to beta:
- You can now reblog any post as a Text post, Link, or Quote.
- If you prefer browsing Photo thumbnails in your Dashboard (or just need to be discreet at work), you can uncheck “Show full size photos” on your Preferences screen.
- Based on this clever Dashboard hack, nested blockquotes now get darker, making them easier to differentiate.

удивлён, но мне скорее не понравилось, чем понравилось новое оформление. как-то уж слишком КРУПНО. трудно объяснить точнее, дизайн то из деталей состоит…

New notes
Getting back to new features, the potentially more useful development is support for “notes”, which are for the moment only visible in the Dashboard view. On David’s page, each post indicates how many notes it has, and clicking through to the permalink page for a post displays the notes in full (eg. “david reblogged this from soxiam”).
В этом посте Matthew Buchanan (кстати, посмотрите насколько прекрасен его тамбллог) больше месяца назад уже отмечал о найденных новых “фичах” в блоге David‘a, одного из разработчиков Tumblr. Первая - воможность добавлять ключевые слова в адрес поста - уже реализована, а вот вторая - notes - ещё нет.
Notes - это те заметки, которые были внедрены в Dashboard, вроде того “#username# reblogged your post” или “#username# start following you”. Возможно, они в будущем появятся на странице каждого поста, что поможет восстановить полную картину откликов и реакций других пользователей. Интересная альтернатива комментариям.
Обычно, David всякие новые фичи опробывает на своём тамбллоге, а потом запускает официально. Как будут выглядеть notes можно узнать, посмотрев вот этот пост.
